Acts 1:6–11

Aug 9, 2026    Paul Laso

In Acts 1:6-11, we find the disciples standing at one of the most pivotal moments in human history, asking Jesus one final question before He ascends. His answer cuts straight to the heart of why any of us who follow Him are still here. The passage unfolds a stunning truth: we have not been left behind; we have been commissioned. The Holy Spirit does not simply dwell in us as a quiet presence but actively empowers us to do something we could never manufacture on our own, namely, to be bold and faithful witnesses to a risen Savior.
