What is Church Membership?
Church membership is the formal commitment of a believer in Jesus Christ to unite with a local body of believers for worship, discipleship, service, accountability, and mission.
At North Georgia Fellowship, we believe membership matters because it provides a spiritual “home” and sense of belonging, ensures care, guidance, and accountability in the Christian walk, and strengthens the church’s unity and effectiveness in mission.

How Do I Become a Member?
Profession of Faith
The first step to becoming a member of North Georgia Fellowship is a profession of faith in Jesus Christ: A recognition of your need for Him to rescue you from your sins and a commitment to surrender your whole life to Him.
Believers Baptism
A second step is to have experienced baptism by immersion as a believer in obedience to Christ. If you have not been baptized before, we would love to have the opportunity to walk through this with you!
Membership Class
Prior to joining our church, we ask that you attend a Membership Matters class where you'll hear all about our beliefs and practices. Upon completion of the class, if your decision is to join the church, you'll then meet with one of our ministry staff to share your story of what Jesus has done in your life.
Church Covenant
The final step to officially join in membership with North Georgia Fellowship is to affirm that you will keep the commitments expressed in our Church Covenant: To pursue holiness, support the church’s mission, and submit to biblical leadership.
